On-Screen Numeric Keypad

An optional built-in keypad for tablets and touchscreen terminals. It replaces the OS soft keyboard for numeric inputs so it does not cover the screen.

Enabling the Keypad

1. Go to Settings (gear icon in the sidebar).
2. In the Account section, find "On-screen keypad".
3. Toggle it on.

This is a per-device setting. Enabling it on a tablet does not affect desktop computers. It is saved to the device, not your account.

Where the Keypad Appears

• Payment dialog: for entering payment amounts; tapping a payment line activates the keypad for that line
• Cart quantity edit: tap a quantity number in the cart to open a compact keypad
• Price override: for Managers/Admins tapping a price in the cart
• Shift cash amounts: opening and closing cash entry
• Sell-by-weight entry: appears below the quick-value chips for weighted products
• Points redemption: for loyalty points entry (decimal and 00 keys disabled for whole-number input)
• Customer search: tap the # icon next to the search box to enter a mobile number

Q: Will enabling the keypad affect users with a physical keyboard?

A: No. Physical keyboard input always works alongside the on-screen keypad.

Q: If I turn on the keypad on my tablet, will it appear on the desktop too?

A: No. It is saved per device, not per account.

Q: I'm on a split payment. Which line does the keypad control?

A: Tap the amount field of the line you want to edit. The highlighted field (indigo bottom border) shows which input the keypad is controlling.
